Every Brilliant Thing

by Duncan Macmillan

directed by Christian Burgess

At the age of seven, a child wrote a list of every brilliant thing that makes life worth living, to cheer up his mom after her first suicide attempt. With direct audience collaboration, we follow his journey as he goes through life’s milestones, rediscovering and continuing the list when he needs it most.

Casting/ Production

Simply staged with 14 players on wooden chairs, this solo piece is turned into a true Ensemble performance: through a radical act of empathy, an individual experience becomes a communal reality, highlighting what Til Tomorrow Theatre does best- sharing a space, connecting with each other and finding joy even in the dark places.
